.CN Domains Unavailable

Effective January 6, 2010, the .CN registry stopped accepting new registrations from overseas registrars.
According to information from foreign domain name registration service providers, China Internet Network Information Center has required these providers to suspend new registrations for .CN domain names.
Irist.com, revealed that it has been notified by CNNIC that effective from January 6, 2010, no overseas application for .CN will be accepted until further notice from the registry.
However, this change only applies to new .CN registrations. Renewal and registrar transfer requests are not affected.
